With a targeted 2015 release date, the "World of Warcraft" movie probably needs to get in front of cameras soon. Well, speaking to Slashfilm, Legendary Films producer Charles Roven says that the Duncan Jones-directed feature will start shooting in the first quarter of 2014.

Jones, who directed the very excellent sci-fi drama "Moon" and "Source Code," hasn't had any experience directing the kind of sprawling, effects-heavy film that we're all probably conjuring in our heads when we think of an adaptation of Blizzard's MMO. On the start date and their choice of director, Roven says “We’re moving forward; obviously Legendary is making that film and I’m having a great time with Duncan.”

Jones' film--which maintains the title "Warcraft" on IMDB--would be working from a screenplay by "Blood Diamond" and "The Mighty" writer Charles Leavitt.
